In-Thread Metrics

Real-time interaction signals shown while working inside supported AI platforms.

The Metrics surface shows Orbital signals directly beside the active conversation.

In the current UI, this includes session context, drift alerts, MIS geometric state, and a turn timeline. These panels are designed for fast inspection while you are still inside the platform conversation.

Session Panel

The session panel identifies the active platform and thread. Depending on platform support and extraction state, it may expose actions such as:

  • Rebuild
  • Download
  • DB dump

Use rebuild when a platform needs to hydrate or refresh the locally observed thread state.

MIS Geometric State

The geometric state panel shows local metrics for user and assistant turns. Common values include:

  • C: coherence
  • M: mass
  • K: curvature

These are diagnostic metrics. A higher or lower value is not automatically "good" or "bad"; interpretation depends on the thread context and the surrounding movement.

Drift Alerts

Drift alerts indicate that the conversation has crossed a configured movement threshold. A drift alert is a reason to inspect the thread, not a hidden intervention or automatic judgment.

Turn Timeline

The turn timeline summarizes recent turns and highlights local signals such as steering dominance, drift level, and turn identifiers. Timeline entries help you jump from a high-level signal to the specific part of the conversation that produced it.

Platform Coverage

Metrics support covers ChatGPT, Claude, OpenWebUI, Gemini, and future adapters. Exact extraction quality may vary by platform because each platform exposes conversation structure differently.
